Glogster...

Creating a Glogster page was a very new experience for me. I didn't even know something like this was possible. When I first started, I was nervous about whether or not I was going to even like it. After starting and starting over multiple times I finally figured it out and...I love it! Will definitely be sharing this with the other teachers on campus!

I am really enjoying my delicious account. There have been so many times I find a website and say to myself, I will remember that site and come back later. Well, later comes and I can't remember how I even found the site to begin with. I love it so much I shared it immediately with my campus.

Google Docs...

Google Docs is something I am familiar with. We use it on our campus. We are able to share documents within certain departments and also district wide. I really enjoy using Google Docs. I don't have to remember to take my computer or flash drive home in order to continue working on a document.

RSS Reader...

RSS Reader is very easy to navigate once I figured out the changes from the current set-up and the set-up used in the video. I have already subscribed to all the blogs I follow and really enjoy that they are all in one spot. I no longer have to filter through my favorites or remember URLs to view my frequently viewed sites.

My goal next year is to incorporate many more technological ways of educating my students. While I work with the younger grades, I am sure I will be able to find Podcasts and other articles they can understand. I now have a way of grouping them all into one location for ease of access.

Wiki...

The Wiki was a little difficult to navigate at first, but it was simply because it was something new I was having to learn. Once I figured out how to navigate it became rather simple to do. To practice with the Wiki, I did the first section of a group project. I created a welcome page, a page with instructions, group pages, a rubric page, and a Q/A page.

While I don't see it possible to use a Wiki in this capacity with my current group of students, I can see how it could be used with older students. I can see how it would make collaboration among students so much easier. They will be able work on project from any computer, any time.

Great tool for sure!

Animoto...

This was a fun tool to use. I was able to put a week's worth of activities into a 30 second video. Animoto was very easy to use. I see this being a great tool to use in my classroom, especially with math and reading for drill practice.

Make your own slideshow at Animoto.

Xtranormal...

I love this already. I will be making tons of videos for my class. I will use it for practicing spelling words. I am always looking for a new way for my kids to learn their spelling words. Being able to "play" on the computer and learn their spelling words...FABULOUS!
